The beaches, 3 or 4 miles long, are superb for windsurfing, kayaking, buggying & kite-surfing, or just a refreshing dip.
Walking: Glyndwr's Way, a 135-mile National Trail over dramatic scenery, passes through the farm. There are ancient saints’ trails to mountain passes, Roman roads & woodland walks. Within half-an-hour you can be up a mountain, in a forest, squelching across moors, walking by rivers & waterfalls or along a beach or estuary.
Our neighbouring farm Carreg Dressage can offer livery & guided rides for those who like to bring their horses on holiday. There are miles of quiet country lanes, wooded bridleways & ancient drovers' roads to explore while looking down on the Dyfi River, often with views of the Irish Sea. Only 12 miles away are miles of golden beaches to race along. Further information available.
The area is one of the UK's best for mountain biking, with signposted off-road trails all around Machynlleth & area, including one with a continuous two-mile descent, the longest in Wales or England. For more leisurely cycling, the vast network of nearby quiet lanes & forestry tracks is ideal.
Or why not stay in Beudy Banc, let the kids run off steam in the fields or have a good game of football outside the front door? All we ask is that you respect the wildlife & the Countryside Code!
Machynlleth hosts a fully-equipped leisure centre, bike hire, specialist mountain bike tour operators & a 9-hole golf course. There are 18-hole championship links courses by the sea at Aberdyfi & Borth. Also close are clay pigeon shoots, laser shooting, quad biking, canoeing, yachting & sailing clubs.
